The city as a tangle of stories, fragments. A composition made by the eyes. Azultejo is the name of the exhibition that refers to Blue, Tejo, Lisbon and our tiles tradition. The series of canvas have many references to the tiles called “mudejar”, with an Arabic influence. The canvas are presented in different planes, with fragments of themes used in the Portuguese tiles. An idea that leads us to the loss, either through time or theft, vandalization or demolition. We have facades, details, fragmented panels that make us, as in a puzzle, imagine the missing images in the empty spaces. Fragments apparently dissociated that as a whole reveals the city itself.
